Gut Microbiome Adjustment
Akkermansia v.s. obesity
Akkermansia v.s. Insulin Resistance
Beneficial bacteria Akkermansia is a very promising anti-obesity probiotic candidate. The genus and its main species Akkermansia muciniphila inversely correlated with metabolic syndrome. Treatment with A. muciniphila was shown to reduce the risk of obesity and improve insulin resistance, glucose intolerance and steatosis in both mice and humans .
How to increase Akk in my gut?
Eat the bacteria directly? or feed it?
It depends. The median relative abundance of Akkermansia was 0.08% (interquartile range: 0.006–0.93%), and no Akkermansia was detected in 17.6% subjects.
If you do have some Akkermansia in your gut, we strongly recommend you to increase Akkermansia by feeding it, providing a more suitable environment for its growth.
AkkMore, more Akk
Our meal replacement powder, can significantly increase the percentage of Akkermansia in gut, hence helping the body to loose weight and reduce obesity. Akkermansia creates a natural tendency for the body to stay fit instead of gaining weight.
